Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies. - Thomas Jefferson

If you are not familiar with the Fed, you should be. While many Americans are under the false misconception that it is a government run institution, it is nothing more than a private bank. What is even more alarming is that as of this writing, the Federal Reserve has never been audited by the IRS, despite the fact that millions of individuals are audited each year. This private bank prints money for the United States government, and charges them interest to use it. This institution may very well be one of the most dangerous establishments in the United States.

President Andrew Jackson spent his life fighting the banks, and hoped that a central bank would never appear in the U.S. The Federal Reserve Act was passed in 1913, and many historians believe that it is one of the leading causes of the financial crisis we see today in America. The mass media has also played a powerful role in the economic crisis we see today. They have successfully created a deceptive image of what it means to be wealthy in America. Those who get their images of wealth from soap operas, television shows, or music videos are being greatly deceived.

We are often told that the secret to wealth is to spend as much money as possible, to buy as much as your income can allow. This is not what the financially responsible do. The financially responsible save their money and invest it, creating long term wealth and financial comfort for their families.
