As a freelancer, your ultimate goal must be to reach the fast track. This is the arena where the truly rich play, the arena were great technological and social revolutions are made. In fact, the fast track could be considered the final level of your financial experience. To reach this level, you must follow the formula which we lay down in this book, which is employee > self employed > investor. Once you reach the investor status, you will then be prepared to enter the fast track. This means that you can purchase businesses, real estate properties, and commodities, all of which will allow your fortune to increase exponentially. As you transition from employee to investor, you should begin studying all the asset classes discussed in previous chapters. The primary reason for this is because you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket.
