Problems are one of the best reasons to start a business. Not only are you solving the problem by starting a business around it, but you are also starting a business that adds to the evolution of the world. You are making a better world. You are adding balance to an imbalanced aspect of life.
Just look at the number of problems we are currently facing, it would be hard to find a time in history where they were ever so lined up and ready to be solved.
Lack of new jobs - We are currently suffering from a loss of new jobs. Why not look into why this is happening and figure out a way to solve it? Why not start a business that provides jobs? Why do we need to wait for the government to "create" jobs? The government can't create jobs and never has. It's up to us to solve the problem of creating jobs.
Green movement / Energy - Wish new forms of energy would catch on? Me too. So why don't we do something about it? Rather than just sitting around pointing the finger at the oil companies why doesn't somebody actually put some hard work into figuring out how to make something that is more realistic than oil? Why not work on slowly transforming our current oil devices over to cleaner and better methods?
Obesity - Mad about how obese people are? Why not look to ways to help people lose weight and develop a healthier lifestyle? There are tons of ways to do this and absolutely nothing stopping you from finding one.
Corporate Food - Tired of buying old food that is produced on a mass level? Looking for something fresh and local? Me too. Why don't we start a small local garden and sell fresh food to friends and family and slowly grow it through word of mouth? I would bet this would catch on very well especially if your prices were better than those of the supermarket. Why not even top the supermarket by actually hand delivering fresh food to your clients? Sounds like a service I would gladly pay for.
Education - Upset with how bad our education currently is? Feel like it is overpriced and low quality? Me too. How about we do something to fix this? There are a lot of ways. Start a website. Start a local meeting group.
and on and on...
Whatever you do, please do something. There are way too many problems on this planet for there to be a loss of jobs. It is a complete oxymoron to even suggest so. If we are at a job loss then we are at a loss of ourselves - we have given up on life. Put on the overalls and get to work solving problems. There, you are no longer unemployed. Enjoy :)
